We’ve come so far, but we still need your help!
We are proud to announce that the 20th Century Club has concluded a $3 million Capital Campaign and opened a new Lodge to house patients receiving cancer treatment in Little Rock! That is the sole mission of our organization – to serve financially needy cancer patients from all over the state and beyond. In addition to providing lodging, our 100+ volunteers serve meals, provide snacks and treats, and facilitate learning and fellowship opportunities. From the May 19, 2011, Grand Opening of our Lodge, located at 4011 Maryland Ave. near the UAMS campus in Little Rock, we’ve been at near maximum capacity every week.
With your continued help, we will be able to meet our goal of housing and meeting the needs of 21 patients and caregivers each and every night. Most of our patients need our services for the entire length of time they are receiving care – from a few weeks to several months. It costs us approximately $50 to house one patient for one night.
Every day the value of our mission is reaffirmed and is epitomized in the words of a former patient and recent cancer survivor: “We came to Little Rock prepared to live in our car.” The 20th Century Club wants to make sure this never happens. With your help, we will achieve that goal. We appreciate your gift in any amount to support our very important mission.
As a reminder, our organization is not aligned with any hospital or healthcare organization. We assist cancer patients who are receiving treatment at all of the medical centers in the Little Rock area.
